Apple Versus Android Affects Us All

The advent of the smartphone goes past the usual hyperbole involving new inventions. The device has the potential to alter nearly every aspect of human life. The technology has already replaced mainstays such as voice recorders and alarm clocks. In the future, smartphone might even replace wallets –complete with picture of kids.

The biggest question the future of the smartphone faces might be, which operating system will the majority of people use? The smartphone market in the United States is currently dominated by Apple and Android. Google owns and operates the Android, which has been the more flexible of the two systems.

Android phones are made by several companies, which Apple has keep its operating system only on its in house products. There are advantages to both methods. It is easier for developers to test applications on Apple products, while the abundance of the Android has allowed it to rapidly catch-up with Apple.

Which system will dominate the highly rigid Apple or the more open Android? Apple recently announced that it would collect 30 percent of fees from applications that require subscriptions. This move angered developers, and it displayed the type of power that smartphone operates hold. Losing out on Apple customer’s business is worst that putting up with Apple’s heavy demands.

Smartphones are a vital part of the economy and people’s personal lives. As reliance on smartphones grows the importance of a company’s philosophy grows. Even though Apple might be an innovator, its rigid practices might turn against it.

In the fight for the smartphone market, customer service and perception will matter. In the fight to be the dominant operating system the winner will affect the lives of virtually everyone.

Finding Your Internet Browser

Everyone knows that the Internet is big business but few people know that they way you look at the internet is just as big a business. There is no shortage of web browsers that will allow you to surf the net. These sites operate on their own business model and yet getting people to download and use their software means the world to their financial security. So the question is what do these different softwares have to offer and why distinguish between them at all? There are some interesting differences between them.

The old standard. The tried and true internet browser is microsoft’s Internet Explorer. It’s the one that comes with any windows based computer you buy(at lets be honest, you never buy a computer without it). This software is really nothing flashy and it’s nothing that will turn heads. A lot of people actually have more complaints for it. They say that the layout of it is a little too cluttered. Many times this happens with a browser because the company gets paid by another company, like Yahoo, to stick an app in the top of the browser. This can create a muddled composition.

Google’s browser the Google Chrome is a very good browser for the opposite reason. It’s a browser that is very clean and very very simple. There are not a lot of bells and whistles on it. This is likely because there has been such a backlash over the clutter that plagues the Internet Explorer. The other nice function of the Google Chrome is the access users have to the famous search engine. You can simple put a word into the address bar and it will do a Google search for you and that is a function that it’s users are finding very helpful these days. These are just two of the browsers that are around today.

Understanding The Explosion of Google

Malcolm Gladwell writes in his book, "The Tipping Point" about the day when something becomes the norm or the day where everything becomes about something. One of the examples that can be used is that of Google. Google, for sometime, was just a search engine. It was no different than any of the other search engines in terms of popularity and notability. It was a search engine that people used when they didn’t want to use another engine. But then, with a drop of the hat, everything changed and there was a new way to search and Google was that way. It became the search engine and the only thing that people wanted to use. There was no more Yahoo or Ask Jeeves. There was google and only Google.

So what made Google so popular? What was the reason why everyone wanted a piece of Google? The first and most important aspect of the Google craze has to do with it’s excellence in what it does. There is not a better search engine out there and there isn’t a search engine that has built the trust of people all over the world than Google.

When you type a search engine check into the bar Google has the technology to understand just where you are headed and why you are headed there. Very few users you will find will ever complain that they didn’t get what they were looking for on a Google search. For this excellence it has given Google the green light to do whatever it wants and to expand their brand out into the other areas of the technology world. As long as Google continues to exceed the expectations of it’s users or at the very least it continues to meet the expectations then you can assured Google will thrive and survive in this world of fast paced and ever changing technology.

Google is known the world over as the best search engine anywhere. It is never disputed and even the other search engine give Google their respects. It’s the biggest search engine in the world and it’s users known why. But maybe you aren’t as familiar with the Google search engine and all that it can do. Here’s the thing: Google is an advertising company first and foremost. There technology caters to the companies that show up on the search engine. For instance, let’s say that you are using another search engine and you type in Chicago Comedy Shows. The first thing that comes up in your search may not be the most searched thing in that category. What happens is that company pays the search engine to put theirs first. This could go on for as long as the search company is getting paid what they want.

With Google there is none of that. They stick to the results. If your website is the most searched in a category you will appear first. If you are not, then you will not. It’s this kind of integrity that builds trust. Users know that the results that come up are true to the reflection of what other users are searching for online.

It’s the ability to be true to their own product and know that money comes first by building a good product that has made Google a leader in their field and a giant for years to come.

The world knows what it means to Google something. What started off as a simple search engine has quickly become it’s own verb. It stands for the absolute excellence in finding out where the people are looking for virtually anything on the web. It’s excellence is the reason why Google is the gold standard in digital and Internet technology and no other company can even come close. So if you are looking for information that is only put out by not-for-profit groups then you would want a very specific search engine for that.
